Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi. Meet your Halong travel guide and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi
A full day city tour of Vietnam's capital. Hanoi is a unique city with tree - lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The city tour includes such sights as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Arts Museum, the Temple of Literature, the Lake of the Restored Sword and the Old Quarter. Lunch in the Forest Restaurant. In the evening enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Hoalu - Hanoi / Laocai (B, L)
A 120km drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam's first capital, Hoa Lu. After visiting the two remaining sanctuaries of the ancient citadel, take a sampan on a river through the rice paddies to the grottoes of the sacred Tam Coc Caves. Lunch in local restaurant Enormous limestone karsts jut out from the green rice fields giving rise to this place's other name, 'Halong on Land'. Transfer from hotel to Hanoi Railway Station and board the overnight in Train Express. Train departs Hanoi at 22:00.
Day 4: Lao Cai - Sapa
Arrival time in Lao Cai is approximately 10 hours after departure time from Hanoi. The 45 - minute transfer from Lao Cai Station to Sapa is very scenic with spectacular views as the road winds up the terraced hillsides before arriving at the former French hill resort. On arrival in Sapa transfer directly to the Hotel for checking in and breakfast. A morning trekking tour of Sapa visits Laochai, Tavan, Giang tachai villages. Lunch in the hotel . In the afternoon visit the busy market where Red Dao, Black H'mong and other ethnic minority people converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their embroidery, silverware and handicrafts and to buy provisions. visit some of nearby hill tribe villages, such as Cat Cat . Overnight in Hotel. (B)
Day 5: Sapa
After Breakfast, Take a day to visit Ham Rong Mountain,and enjoy the dance of The girls of H''mong, Tay, Giay, Hanhi, Dao . In the afternoon, free to visit the cataracts of Silver Hoang Lien Are, in the province Lai Chau, visiting different minority ethnic from the wonderful Zone and enjoying its landscape. visit some of nearby hill tribe villages, such as Taphin where living Dao minority ethnic. Return to Hotel.
Day 6: Sapa - Bacha Market - Hanoi
Breasfast, leaving to Bac Ha Market, after 3 hours on the bus you will arrive BacHa market. free visit market ( BacHa market open on sunday morning only). 12h00' short trekking to visit BacHa village. 3:00 PM Return to Laocai and visit the frontier of Vietnam and China to railway station for a night train Ratraco to Hanoi depart at 21:15 pm.
Day 7: Hanoi - Halong (B,L,D)
Arrive hanoi, Breakfast in Hotel. 9:00 AM Leave Hanoi by road for Halong Bay. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Halong traditional sailing junk. Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit. Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner. Overnight on board junk.
Day 8: Halong - Hanoi (B,L)
Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange - shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons and even General de Gaulle’s nose! After another wonderful fresh seafood lunch on board disembark at the dock at Halong City. transfer to Noi Bai Airport for onward flight.
